Brakes

The Cincinnati Brake is a fail-safe mechanical pinch brake that holds even without air pressure. The brake holding force for normal operation is provided by air canisters that have a spring to close them in case of zero air pressure. Brakes are offered with either a solid brass lining (shoe) or a woven lining compatible with softer brake fins for use in magnetic brakes. The sizes of the brakes are the following when there is one lead in end. A brake with a lead in at each end is slightly longer.

OPTIONS:

    • 93" (2.4m) Full Brake
    • 68" (1.7m) Short Brake
    • 61" (1.5m) Half Brake
    • High Brass (Taller) Brake
    • Over/Under Brake

Bladder style brakes are also available which uses a long rubber tube that, when pressurized with air, provides braking force. They are available in the following sizes:

OPTIONS:

    • 60" (1.5m)
    • 36" (0.9m)
